A master schedule is a plan for the whole job. A three-week lookahead is the superintendent’s plan for the next fifteen working days, trade by trade.
What is on it
Each activity, the trade doing it, the days it runs, and what it is waiting on: an inspection, a delivery, a decision.
Why it matters to the owner
The decisions column is where owners can keep a job moving. If a finish selection is holding up a trade in two weeks, the lookahead shows it now.
