The first row of every Day Sheet is hair and makeup, and it is the row couples most often get wrong. We plan forty-five minutes a person, two artists working side by side, and fifteen minutes at the end for the veil and touch-ups.
The formula we use
Divide the people by the artists, round up, multiply by forty-five, add fifteen. Six people with two artists is two hours and thirty minutes. Seven or more and we ask for a third artist.
Who goes last
The person getting married goes last, so the makeup is freshest for the first look. Mothers go early: they have their own jobs later in the day.
Try it
Change the number of people in hair and makeup on the timeline and watch the start time move. If it starts before 7:30 a.m., the sheet suggests a third artist.
