Sunset decides more of a wedding day than most couples expect: when portraits happen, whether sparklers glow, and whether the ceremony is in shade or in the eyes of your guests. The table below is calculated for Fort Worth on the second Saturday of each month, rounded to five minutes.

| May 8 | 8:15 p.m. |
| June 12 | 8:35 p.m. |
| July 10 | 8:40 p.m. |
| August 14 | 8:15 p.m. |
| September 11 | 7:40 p.m. |
| October 9 | 7:05 p.m. |
| November 13 | 5:30 p.m. |
| December 11 | 5:25 p.m. |
What we do with it
From November to February, sunset comes before most ceremonies, so we recommend a first look and portraits in daylight. From May to August, it lands during dinner, so we borrow the couple for ten minutes of sunset portraits between courses.
