How the year runs
Twelve months to the morning after.
12months
The date and the place
- We
- Three venue tours, chosen against your guest count and your budget. We read the venue contract before you sign it.
- You
- A rough guest list. Two dates you would be happy with.
9months
The people who make the day
- We
- Photographer, caterer and music first, because they book up first. Then florals, cake, rentals and hair and makeup.
- You
- Say yes or no within a week. Good vendors do not hold dates long.
6months
How it looks
- We
- Palette, paper and the floor plan. Invitations go to print; the hotel block opens.
- You
- The final guest list and every mailing address.
4months
Production design
- We
- The lighting plot, the drape plan and the floor, drawn to your room and walked with the venue.
- You
- Approve one drawing. We handle the rest.
3months
Day Sheet, version one
- We
- The first full timeline, minute by minute, with every vendor’s call time and your sunset.
- You
- Read it once with coffee. Tell us who you want in the family photos.
6weeks
The walkthrough
- We
- We walk the venue with the caterer and the photographer, and time the walk from the suite to the aisle.
- You
- Final headcount, meal choices and the seating chart, in that order.
1week
Final Day Sheet
- We
- One call with every vendor. The final sheet goes to each of them and to your wedding party.
- You
- Drop off the boxes: signage, favors, the guest book, the cake knife.
0the day
We keep the time
- We
- On site from hair and makeup to the last vendor out. You never see the clock.
- You
- Nothing. Eat something before the ceremony.
+1day
The morning after
- We
- Rentals returned, the gifts and the top tier of the cake delivered to whoever you named.
- You
- Sleep in.
