Quinceañeras

The order of the night, kept.

We plan quinceañeras in Spanish first, with families who want every tradition in its place and the evening still to end on time.

  1. 01

    Misa

The Mass at your parish. We coordinate with the church office and keep photos there to twenty minutes.

  2. 02

    Grand entrance

The court enters on a built entrance, lit, with the song you chose.

  3. 03

    Vals

Rehearsed twice with the chambelanes, once in the venue the day before.

  4. 04

    Changing of the shoes

Her father changes flats for heels; the last doll is presented.

  5. 05

    Surprise dance

Choreographed with the court; we cue the lights to the music.

  6. 06

    Hora loca

Masks, props, a brass section if you want one. It starts on the Day Sheet, not on a whim.

The night, minute by minute

Move the Misa. The night follows.

Planner’s notes

  1. 1

Mass ends near 4:00 p.m.. We keep church photos to twenty minutes so the court reaches the reception before the guests.

  2. 2

The vals is rehearsed twice with the chambelanes, the last time on the venue floor the day before.

  3. 3

Our production crew loads in at 12:00 p.m., so light, drape and the dance floor are finished before the florist sets the last table.

  4. 4

Photo coverage runs 10 h 30 min. Most packages are eight hours, so we would start the photographer at 2:45 p.m.

A sample review, written for this fictional planner

They planned with my mother in Spanish and with my daughter in English, and the vals happened at exactly 6:10. The entrance they built is the photo everyone kept.
